Bob Wall
I have worked in tech for a long time, but I am also an unrepentant music junkie, and the opportunity to share some of my musical interests over the airwaves has been fantastic.
About Bob Wall
For this year’s WVYL broadcast, I will be focusing on the music scene in and around Bozeman, Montana, highlighting the artists who have shaped the local sound and paying tribute to some of the great musicians we have lost. The show will serve as both a celebration and a remembrance, bringing attention to a regional scene that continues to have a meaningful impact.
Radio remains important to me because it still has the ability to center local voices. In a world saturated with constant information and endless music choices, radio offers something different. It can thoughtfully curate that noise, providing listeners with a sense of place, context, and connection to their own communities.
My musical influences span a variety of styles, from jazz and bluegrass to punk and regional acts. Some of the artists I return to often include Charles Mingus, Tony Rice, Goners UK, Three Penny Riot, King Ropes, and Love Darts.
One of the most memorable concerts I have attended was seeing The Who perform at the House of Blues. It was a powerful live experience that showcased the enduring energy and presence of a legendary band.
